Meet The Team

Emily_Reynolds-126 copy Emily Reynolds | Founder

Emily has garnered years of marketing and public relations experience. Her experience is vast and varied, working for such esteemed companies such as the Jason Dady Restaurant Group, where she served as the Media Relations Director, as well as Bread & Butter Public Relations in Austin, Texas, as an Account Executive. Before her marketing and public relations career rocketed, Emily was a freelance writer for publications such as TASTE magazine, San Antonio Woman and Foodie Gems. Today, she continues to write for Savor SA, Food Republic and many other local, regional and national outlets.

In 2004, Emily earned undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Philosophy from Hartwick College. During that time, she interned through Columbia University, helping develop an Adolescent Fitness Program while working intensively within local schools’ health and food science programs. After graduating Summa Cum Laude, Emily continued her studies at Syracuse University and Florida Atlantic University, where she studied Women’s Studies and Social Work. While completing her Master’s Degree, she wrote a non-fiction book titled, Beyond Burning Bras: Feminist Activism for Everyone. She has also worked at The Renfrew Center, where she counseled women struggling with eating disorders through creative therapy and cooking classes, combining advocacy and her love of food. In 2007, after completing her Master’s In Social Work, she participated in various speaking engagements and spoke on “Activism through the Arts.” In 2010, she relocated to San Antonio and launched, which began as a blog but has since grown into a thriving public relations and marketing business.

Simultaneously, Emily has been engaged in the art community and has co-led art exploration classes for women. Emily sits on the communications committee for Culinaria, a San Antonio-based non-profit organization dedicated to fostering local culinary growth and enrichment. Additionally, she is a member of San Antonio’s Food Council committee and has co-organized a food and sustainability salon with TedX in San Antonio.

As an accomplished writer, Emily takes the representation of her voice extremely seriously. This care is prevalent in all that Defining Delicious does for clients. A wordsmith, author, wordmonger; any way you want to say it, her life is her words, and clients only benefit from her obsession. When she isn’t moving mountains of pastries she is enjoying time with her two children, running along the river, sipping on coffee at her favorite coffee shops and exploring  the burgeoning culinary community in San Antonio. Her philosophy on life and food are one in the same, if you are what you eat, drink, and think make it Delicious.
