Family Dates: Kids Eat FREE and Roam FREE

One of my favorite things to do with my kids is to eat with them. Whether it’s making pancakes on Sunday morning, homemade mac n cheese on a hurried week night, just because- or eating at our favorite place(s), I love food and I love my kids, so it makes sense. However, sometimes they don’t really eat more than a few bites and/or they would rather play and roam around than sit in a chair for an hour. I get that- and try my best to find places that fit all of our goals. I want food that is fresh and interesting for them and myself to experience, and I want know they want to be someplace they can enjoy as well as be welcomed. Here are my top three and free picks for you and your littles–

1. Thai Topaz– A stellar menu for adults and some sake too. For the littles, kids eat free Tuesday and Thursday nights. This place is full of flavor, freshness and a modern twist on Thai. A family owned place with a family friendly vibe- and look at this kid’s menu?

Purple Garlic- kids eat free on Wednesday and Saturday

Yes, with the purchase of one adult entree enjoy a free kids meal. There is a giant sandbox with plenty of young blooded company- as well as soft jazz playing on the patio, not to mention a simple but wholesome Italian menu. I love the mediterranean salad with shrimp and my kids love the spaghetti and meatballs. We all win with the vibe, sandy shoes and overall experience.  Address: 1017 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78209

Utopia Cafe– This new place is a total home run. Kids roam free and you get a night on the town-kid free.  With a cafe menu curated by Tim The Girl and a play area and activities for kids adjacent to the cafe, you can enjoy all the fun of coffee and snacks with your kids having fun at the same time. Check out the next Kids night out event, drop off your littles and go out on the town.
